Since the early 90s I have been associated with several iconic, high-profile hair care product companies, and for the last decade or so, I have been the behind-the-scenes branding guru, product formulator, and manufacturer of boutique hair care product ranges throughout Australia.
As a longtime hairdressing industry person, I had always harbored a desire to create an extravagant, underground salon-only hair and beauty care product brand.
Like an eccentric artist who envisions what they want to portray in their mind and then paints, reworks, and perfects their idea in the dim and often lonely hours of the night, INKT was perfected over several years.
During this time I experienced euphoric highs, extreme lows, and times when surges of creativity and eccentricity oozed out of the deep recesses of my soul. My heritage brand experience, individuality, and the divine meshed with the yearning to bring into existence what my mind envisioned.
Flow occurred when my own limited abilities, knowledge, and experience commingled with the difficulty of the activity at hand, and creative energy was released when I was fixated and fanatical about the vocation.
During this time ten unique distinctions were actualized which set INKT apart and position INKT in the top-tier luxury product category. New industry-exclusive product categories were also coined, and alluring aromatic scents were fused into each product in which the notes are articulated using musical chord terminology.
An array of nutrient-rich superfoods were intermixed into each product to boost performance and we assigned product names with meanings to remind people who they are, stimulate passions, and fan creativity. Unique tribal tattoo symbols have been embossed on the front of each product to symbolize individuality and evoke transformation.
In an industry first, we made the call to invest in technology that could extract water from the atmosphere to manufacture all INKT products. Water from the cosmos is more pure than glacier water, totally free of contaminants, and addresses the impact using water to manufacture hair and beauty products has on consumer water levels.
INKT is for hairdressers and creatives who want to embrace a salon-only product range that is top-tier and clearly distinguishable from non-salon only products.
